There are more than 300 malls in Moscow and Moscow region with total area about 16 million m2. In ABI Research’s latest report, “Indoor LBS: Applications, Advertising, and Revenues”, senior analyst Patrick Connolly comments that in 2014 a number of major retailers are finalizing their pilot projects in indoor navigation and soon we will see a lot of system installations. This trend is also supported by late developments in iBeacons/BLE technologies and readiness of consumers to increase the share of online purchases through a smartphone.

Foreign airports and train stations can often be confusing places to find your way around. Google has launched an interactive map featuring Street Views of over 65 mass-transit hubs. The map features some locations you may have already explored, like Emirates' A380 or London's Gatwick Airport, alongside some new sites across Europe, South America, and Asia. Google Indoor Street View makes use of thousands of stitched images, which together create a panoramic map of the inside of the terminal. Passengers can use these images to plan their journey through the facility.
Navigine Team attended GEC2014 that was for the first time held in Moscow. Over 150 countries represented their projects at the conference. The event was awarded Best Business Event of 2014 from the Moscow Times.
On March, 6, 2014 we have performed another demo day in Lomonosov Moscow State University for our partners and clients. Previous demo day took place on February 14, 2014 where we rolled out our navigation system in the Main building of Moscow State University. The system operated on iOs and Android using external signals from Wi-Fi points and Bluetooth beacons.
