Navigine Platform Updates: Pseudo-3D Tracking, Live Camera Streams, and Interactive Onboarding

Across August and September 2026, the Navigine engineering team released a comprehensive wave of feature enhancements across our Web Client, Tracking Platform, and Backend Infrastructure.

These updates focus on improving real-time spatial visibility, shortening the onboarding curve for new platform users, and delivering richer analytics for enterprise industrial, logistics, and healthcare deployments.

Here is a detailed breakdown of what’s new in the Navigine ecosystem.

1. Advanced Pseudo-3D Visualization & Barrier Controls

Spatial visualization is essential for managing multi-story facilities, warehouses, and complex industrial complexes. In our latest release, the pseudo-3D monitoring mode received major operational tools:

  • Tracklines & Geo-zones: Movement trajectories and active monitoring zones are now rendered crisply within the 3D perspective view.

  • Interactive Map Objects: Click on any tracked asset, vehicle, or personnel icon in pseudo-3D mode to immediately bring up its status card and dynamic properties.

  • Physical Movement Barriers: Operators can now define and display barriers directly on the map layout to assist with path planning and safety compliance.

2. Integrated Camera Video Streams

Combining real-time location data (RTLS) with direct visual verification greatly enhances emergency response and site security workflows.

  • Live Video Feeds: Restored and expanded camera entity management. Users can now assign and view direct live video stream feeds for camera entities mapped within the facility.

  • Instant Event Verification: Security operators can pinpoint an asset or alert on the map and immediately verify physical conditions via the associated zone camera.

3. Global Analytics & Flexible Reporting

Our analytics suite has been expanded to support international enterprise operations across various unit systems and complex site requirements:

  • Metric & Imperial System Support: Reports for Distance Traveled, Workday Picture (including Global view), and Heatmaps now automatically calculate and display metrics in your preferred unit system.

  • Export Legend Overlay: Graphic report exports for Workday Picture now include an automated color-coded legend to quickly identify tracked objects.

  • One-Click Zone Alert History: Clicking on any monitored zone within the live view now instantly opens a pop-up window listing all recent notifications and alert logs tied to that area.

  • Adjustable History Retention: Added fine-grained control over how long historical tracking lines remain visible on the front-end interface.

  • Smooth Timeline Scrubbing: When reviewing historical track playback, video-style controls now allow seamless scrubbing along the timeline without interrupting playback.

4. Interactive Onboarding & Web Client Upgrades

To accelerate team adoption and streamline map editing workflows, we introduced self-guided onboarding and updated UI tools:

  • Interactive Onboarding Tours: Added step-by-step walkthroughs across the Home, Locations, and Add Location pages. By default, these tours auto-play for new accounts (< 30 days old) and can be replayed at any time via a dedicated button or disabled in user profile settings.

  • Bridge Connection Controls: Digital map editors now feature full support for bridge graph connections across floors or sublocations, including creation, editing, and deletion.

  • UI Polish & Browser Stability: Updated instructional graphics on the main landing view, fixed dropdown behavior in Safari for transmitter setup windows, and added visible app versioning in the browser developer console.

5. Enterprise Security & System Architecture

  • Dedicated System User Role (ROLE_SYSTEM): Introduced a dedicated system user role for secure server-to-server integrations. These accounts utilize pre-set database migration tokens, bypassing password logins and preventing accidental licensing lockouts or administrative changes.
