In 2020 the working conditions of many businesses in different spheres changed due to Covid-19. Companies had to adapt quickly to changing conditions and think about their employees’ safety. So our Navigine team started working hard on developing an indoor positioning system that could help companies in the current circumstances. And we did achieve it!
This year has been extremely productive – we have expanded our team, visited many events, improved our products, and begun close cooperation with companies from the USA, China, Singapore. We are very pleased to know that you have been following our success this year! But, one thing at a time.
New partnerships
In 2020 we signed a partnership agreement with the company Huawei for collaboration on the project “Indoor navigation”, which is an intellectual system that solves a wide range of tasks connected with an indoor navigation system using WiFi inside large buildings. We managed to realize famous navigation technologies and mathematical algorithms in a simple technological solution.
In the current world’s situation, the partnership with Ramco System has become very important for us. Our team has developed a solution for monitoring the staff, which allows tracking the violation of safe distancing according to the data on location, time, and people who have contacted the person. The system can be easily integrated with the already existing video surveillance project RamcoGEEK and helps to prevent new cases of infection with Covid-19 at working places in companies.
Together with the company Zyfra we started developing the project for the platform “Intellectual quarry”. The system lets track mining vehicles and equipment, monitor the presence of employees in dangerous zones, generate reports on current events. It can help to increase safety and performance efficiency in the mining industry.
This year we have also started cooperation with the Canadian company SnowM (Stratosfy) that specializes in developing innovative solutions in the sphere of IoT.
New partnerships have let us enhance the development of the company in various directions and improve and modify our technological solutions.
Achievements
In 2020 Navigine was included in the report “Global Indoor Location by Positioning Systems (Indoor LBS) Market Size, Status and Forecast 2020-2026” carried out by the biggest research and consulting company QY Research. Our company is one of the key players in the market for location-based services of 2020.
One more important event of the year for us was including our CEO Alexey Panyov in the list of the most successful entrepreneurs PropTech (technologies in property) made by Rusbase, an independent publication on technologies and business. The rating was prepared based on the financial performance of the business.
Events
This year has also been full of various events and conferences. We have shared our experience a lot and closely followed the success of other companies.
CES 2020
In January our company participated in the largest exhibition CES 2020 in Las Vegas where the solution for autonomous navigation using the sensors from Analog Devices and indoor positioning algorithms from Navigine was presented. As a result, we proved that navigation without GPS can also be good.
Startupbootcamp Accelerator
In spring Microsoft, EY, Startupbootcamp, and the fund Altergate chose Navigine for participating in the program “Global Pilots” where we got valuable recommendations from our mentors and also managed to organize and launch a pilot project with a large international company.
Labor safety
Pyotr Kazakov, the commercial director of Navigine, made a presentation at the largest exhibition, dedicated to labor safety, on the topic “How to apply modern technologies for increasing enterprise safety?” in the round-table discussion “Development of a culture of safety”.
2nd Technical Forum “Wi-Fi 6 Huawei Apus Arena”
One of the most important events in 2020 was participating in the 2nd Technical Forum “Wi-Fi 6 Huawei Apus Arena”. Within the framework of the Forum, our manager presented the geolocation solution developed in cooperation with Huawei that implies the convergence of Wi-Fi and IoT for solving indoor assets tracking tasks.
Presentation on healthcare solutions in London
Our technological partners invited us and 6 other companies to share their developments for solving some business issues that emerged due to Covid-19. Navigine presented to business leaders its own highly technological system of staff monitoring to counter the proliferation of Covid-19.
GeoBerlin
We made a presentation on testing the Wi-Fi RTT technology at the meet-up GeoBerlin.
Our participation in these events helped us to obtain valuable experience and outline the goals for developing our company in 2021!
Our activity
The year 2020 made many companies move their activity online and start developing online training products. And we are not an exception! This year we have started actively running our YouTube channel and launched a series of lectures on navigation algorithms.
Moreover, our team has improved Navigine navigation software products. We’ve managed to:
- Update Navigine applications on IOS, Android.
- Release a completely new version of mobile indoor navigation SDK.
- Deploy 6 new client servers.
