Skolkovo Foundation is the principal agency responsible for the Russian Skolkovo Innovation Center, a scientific and technological centre for the development and commercialisation of advanced technologies. It is a non-profit organization founded in 2010 and charged by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev with creating a new science and technology development centre in the Moscow suburb of Skolkovo. The Skolkovo innovation system comprises the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (SkolTech) established in partnership with MIT, corporate R&D centres, business incubators, private seed and venture funds, and start-up companies, as well as residential space and social infrastructure. It is a city with over 30,000 residents and employees.
Finally, Navigine became the resident of the Skolkovo IT cluster. There are lots of advantages in being a Skolkovo resident: access to the worldwide network of connections and mentors, Skolkovo’s programs and competitions, the strong PR support, and of course the opportunity to optimize tax expenses and receive grants! Skolkovo has warmly welcomed Navigine and we became the resident No. 337. To be accepted into the cluster and receive the economic benefits, a startup has to present its ideas to a 10-person panel of experts, and if six of them believe the concept to be innovative and the potential to run as a business, then they are in. Our team has prepared a powerful presentation that made juries believe in our project. We are very excited to be a Skolkovo resident!
