More than Moore Contest is a contest of innovative IT hardware projects. Navigine Team became one of the finalists of this contest.
Finally, Navigine became the resident of the Skolkovo IT cluster. There are lots of advantages in being a Skolkovo resident: access to the worldwide network of connections and mentors, Skolkovo’s programs and competitions, the strong PR support, and of course the opportunity to optimize tax expenses and receive grants!
From 27th to 30th of October an international conference on indoor positioning and indoor navigation (IPIN 2014) took place in Busan city, South Korea. Navigine researchers couldn’t miss it and presented a report on “Efficient Localization Using Different Mean Offset Models in Gaussian Processes”, describing basic principles of functioning of our navigation platform “Navigine Indoor”.
The problem that indoor navigation solves is quite obvious and important. Nevertheless, at the moment there is only limited number of cases with implementation of indoor navigation into mass or corporate sector.

This trend is also supported by late developments in iBeacons/BLE technologies and readiness of consumers to increase the share of online purchases through a smartphone.
